Have you ever considered that you can not only pray but, furthermore, live out the Lord’s prayer in your daily life?
PRAISE: ”Our Father in heaven, holy is your name.” QUESTION: Can I speak of God’s goodness to someone around me today?
PRESENCE: ”Your Kingdom come; your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” QUESTION: Can I help set things right in someone’s struggle today?
PROVISION: ”Give us today our daily bread.” QUESTION: Can I lighten someone’s financial burden today?
PARDON: ”Forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us.” QUESTION(S): Do I need to ask for forgiveness from someone today? Do I need to release someone from my judgment today?
PROTECTION: ”Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. QUESTION: Is there someone I can stand up for today who cannot stand up for themselves?
As followers of Jesus, we are His hands and feet. He offers us opportunity after opportunity to be vessels of his praise, presence, provision, pardon, and protection. When we embrace the mind-blowing authority He has given us, we become aware of people, places, and predicaments that His kingship can transform. When those opportunities inevitably arise, and we avail ourselves to His leading, don't be surprised when He reveals Himself in miraculous ways.
