For nearly 15 years, Steven and Lucia Barr have lived lives deeply intertwined with Disney Cast Members around the world.
What began with a handful of relationships has grown to include nearly 2,000 Cast Members spanning six continents.
Along the way, many have become far more than friends. They have become family. And through those relationships, Jesus has changed how Steven and Lucia see His Kingdom and the harvest around them.
Steven is a cultural futurist and a Kingdom éclaireur (French: scout, spy, pathfinder), and is currently leading the formation of Cast Member Church’s European hub in Paris.
His work extends beyond Disney. Through Harvest Forward, Steven invites pastors, church leaders, and church planters to see the Kingdom and the harvest through new lenses and imagine what could emerge when we look beyond the familiar and predictable.
His 3•2•1 Monday emails, Field Notes library, 90 Minutes of Uncovery, and Simple Jesus Instagram posts emerge from his unique position in the overlap of two worlds: the world of the harvest and the world of the Church. They capture what he sees, hears, questions, and learns from years of immersion among people with little or no connection to the Church. Through them, he invites Christian leaders and everyday followers of Jesus to see the Kingdom and the plentiful harvest through different lenses.

Lucia, originally from Oaxaca, Mexico, leads the Orlando expression through her remarkable ability to care for others, build meaningful relationships, and inspire people from diverse cultures and backgrounds. She is passionate about empowering individuals to discover their God-given identities and purposes, found in Jesus. With nearly 15 years in The Walt Disney Company, she serves as a Coordinator for multiple countries in EPCOT’s World Showcase.
Lucia's ability to make people feel seen, valued, and supported is essential to Cast Member Church’s foundation.
Together, Steven and Lucia are still doing what they have done from the beginning: showing up, sharing life, listening well, paying attention, and inviting Cast Members to meet Jesus for themselves.
