Have You Seen Jesus Today?

Have you seen Jesus today?

He is laying in a nursing home bed aching for friendship. He is working three jobs to feed his children. He is hiding from the angry hand of a brutal parent. He is walking to school with a growling stomach. He is sitting on the sidewalk mumbling to himself. He is weeping over the divorce papers in front of him. He is crying in the dark with a gun in his hand. He is giving his body to another just to feel accepted. He is trapped in an endless web of addiction.

He is many things today, but one thing He is not: invisible.

Chances are you walked by Him several times today. You saw Him in the grocery store. He may have even cut you off in traffic. I am certain you encountered Jesus today.

The question is did you recognize Him?

...For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ - Matthew 25:35,36
